SHP Modernisation
HYDROERGIA provides services of comprehensive modernization of existing SHP. Modernization process commences with
thorough analysis and an object inventory. We offer many modernization options for SHP together with the accompanying
equipment. The investor is presented with the analysis of the project's impact on energy production. Together
with an investor we decide about the most beneficial modernization option – aiming at the most efficient investment
of PLN 1 in1 kWh in the produced energy. Main elements of a power station modernization:
Turbine modernization
- an exchange or regeneration of a runner: decision about modernization results from
the performed concept and analytical works. In case of a runner exchange or modernization our
engineers carry out hydraulic analysis of a turbine. After carrying out necessary calculations
using up-to-date numerical methods, the shape of runner blades is changed in order to obtain the
biggest efficiency of the device,
- a guide ring system regeneration: to increase energy production the surface of guide ring blades is regenerated
and an automatic regulation of the angle of guide ring blades is installed,
- a belt drive transmission is exchanged into the one of the highest performance,
- an exchange of a generator and electrical system meeting present quality standards and adequate safety measures,
- an installation of an adequately designed sucking pipe enabling
recovery of the kinetic energy especially in connection with a Kaplan
turbine,
- an assembly of SHP automation: devices are designed to obtain
the highest power of a unit in the function of fluctuating water
flow of a river. SHP shall be equipped in a probe, the upper water
level as well as a mechanism of automatic guide rings steering.
Such solution allows to sustain the same upper water level on a
continuous basis with simultaneous turbine operation at the highest
momentary power.
